Welcome to PROMISE Trial!

PROMISE is a large randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled multi-centre trial of the effectiveness of progesterone in reducing miscarriage rates in unexplained recurrent miscarriages. The PROMISE trial is funded solely by NIHR-HTA (UK).

The trial is led by Prof Arri Coomarasamy and Dr Raj Rai. We have numerous research sites across the UK (England and Scotland) and in the Netherlands.

We are still looking for more research centres in the UK, our collaborators in the Netherlands are doing a great job expanding our research network there.
